Weekly review

The ritual that makes the rest of the system work. Without it, everything becomes a list of promises.

What it is

David Allen (📖 Getting Things Done): a 30-60 minute session each week where you (1) clear your head, (2) review metrics and OKRs, (3) AAR — After-Action Review the week, (4) decide what to double/refine/kill/keep, (5) plan the top 3 for next week.

Why Friday 5pm

Friday because the week is still fresh. 5pm because most technical work is done — your mind is in reflection mode, not execution. GTD research: three weeks without a weekly and the system collapses. Not hyperbole — diagnosis.

How it works in the product

Email reminder Friday 5pm (your local time). Open the chat → optional 60-min timer → 5 guided phases → markdown saved with ISO week date. Next quarter: dashboard with weekly-review streak — because seeing the chain is part of the reinforcement.

What it isn't

Not full week planning (overkill). Not free journaling (without structure it's zero). It's a short ritual with five right questions — to recalibrate before entering the next week.
